I recently discovered something called a Library. Have you heard of these things? It’s a building that you go into and just pick up any book you want, then tell a person behind a desk you are taking it and BAM, it’s yours. For free!!! What a wonderful invention.
At some point in the last two years I started keeping track of the books I read via Shelfari because I found myself accidentally buying a book I had already read but just forgot about. Since I started keeping track, I have read 141 books. At roughly $3.50 each, that is $494.50 I’ve spent on books. Surely there is something better I could have spent that money on like Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-view events or candy. Well, the days of wasting my money on books are over because of this whole library thing. So far, I am on book number three. That’s $10.50 right in my pocket as long as you don’t count the fact that you have to buy a $30 card in order to get your free books. I don’t understand the complicated rules and policies, I just know that eventually I will start turning a profit.
