The past week, when I have not been working until 4am or running outside periodically with a hammer to beat the ice off of my central heat and air unit even though I don’t know exactly what the outdoor unit does but it has a fan and some vents and I am pretty sure it’s not good for it to be entirely encased in ice, I have been listening to the new Springsteen record. It’s been pretty cold here lately. So cold in fact that my typing has slowed to a crawl. Just to get to this point has taken 36 and a half minutes. The temperature outside right now is 87 degrees below absolute zero. In case you are not up to speed on your science, that is pretty darn cold. It’s cold enough to freeze things solid. SOLID!!!! I was going to go on a rant about how I loathe daylight savings time and how I am not even going to capitalize it when I type it even though it is supposed to be capitalized and how I dislike the fact that it now gets dark around 3pm, but I am not going to do that and here’s the reason why. (more…)
I think what Michael Phelps did winning all of those gold medals was great and all, and I actually watched several of the races, but am I the only one who wishes he would pull up his pants a little? I mean seriously, PULL UP YOUR PANTS!!!!!!! I could have enjoyed the events more if you would just PULL UP YOUR PANTS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!
