Why I Hate the Phone Company EVEN MORE NOW!!!!!

August 9, 2008

So I called the phone company and said, “Hey, I would like that basic package that you have advertised as costing $7.95 to $17.00 depending on where you live.”

The customer service representative I was talking to said, “Sure. It will cost $19. 32 a month.”

I said, “But your…..”

Than she said, “SHUT UP!!!!!! It’s $19.32 per month and there’s nothing you can do about it, punk! And that doesn’t include taxes and the other crap we decide we want to charge you for.”

“S-s-so,” I asked meekly, “what does the total come to with all of those taxes and stuff?”

“You’ll be lucky if it’s less than $27. Goodbye.”

So, it looks like today was totally productive. I will be saving roughly $20 each month on my phone bill as long as I don’t use my phone in any way.

Why I Hate the Phone Company

August 9, 2008

I am checking my email this morning when I notice the bill for my home phone has arrived. $48.18!!! For what? Nothing, that is what. I have basic service, no features whatsoever, and have to pay extra for long distance. I am getting so screwed on this. And it’s not like this was a month were I made a lot of long distance calls or something. This is the normal amount with no long distance calls whatsoever, which by the way the whole long distance call thing is seriously antiquated and stupid. It’s like the old roaming charges on a cell phone. Who even does that anymore?
