Sweet, Sweet Vacation

August 27, 2009

Ah, vacation. What a wonderful invention. This year we decided to stay close to home and spend a few days at Mt. Magazine State Park hiking and ATV riding. And not only that, but Apple decided to release Snow Leopard this week. How sweet is that? I’ll tell you. It’s pretty darned sweet.

Vacation 2008 – Days 6, 7 and 8

October 6, 2008

After a few days of rest from the first two stops of our vacation followed by a trip to Little Rock, we made our way to Eureka Springs were we had a cabin reservation at the Silver Ridge Resort. We spent the first day relaxing and enjoying the quite.. and the jacuzzi.

The next day we went into town, went through Onyx Cave, grabbed a bite to eat and then hopped a tram for a guided tour through the city. We then purchased all-day passes on the Trolley and rode downtown, did some shopping and eating, then rode out to the giant Jesus statue. We made it back to the Crescent hotel at 5:30 pm, just in time for a mostly relaxing but sometimes painful one hour message at the New Moon Spa. We took hundreds of pictures of the historic downtown section and everything else we came across. I will spare you the vast majority of those and just post a few.
