Music

Sometimes I like to pretend I can write good songs, or at least mediocre songs. And sometimes I will record these alleged good to mediocre songs and throw them onto this website so that you can listen to them. I know what you’re saying, and may I just say you are welcome.

There used to be a flash audio player below each song so you could just listen to them right here on the page instead of downloading them but something happened along the way and I don’t want to bother with figuring it out, so…..

This is Your iPod

I bought Karen an Ipod for Christmas. Since it wasn’t going to be a surprise, I decided to add a little something to it.

This is MySpace

I wrote this about myspace.com. I realized one day that I was one of only a handful of people that did not participate in myspace or friendster or any of the other social networking pages. So I wrote a song about it.

WMD

This one was written after the KISR hunt for the WMD. It’s from the winner’s perspective even though I have no idea what that is.

A Million Pieces of Me

I decided to write a song about some irrational aspect of my personality. I was having a little trouble until one day when I was riding in a car with an un-named individual and it hit me, much like we almost hit all of those inanimate objects along the way.

These Three Chords Suck

I had this chord progression that had been stuck in my head for about three years. I figured the only way to get it out of there was to actually use it in a song. I tried and tried but just couldn’t get it right and kept rewriting it over and over. I finally gave up. Here’s the result.

WM3

After watching Paradise Lost years ago, which documented the trial of the West Memphis Three, I wrote a song about it. Then, recently, I read Devil’s Knot, also about the trial, and decided to write another song about it. Here it is.
