I just finished reading a book by this guy who walked most of the Appalachian Trail and it inspired me to do something similar, so me and Sam loaded up in the Jeep and drove out into the country to scout out a route for me to make my journey, a journey much like the guy who wrote the aforementioned book.
We got lost a few times, passing many of the same places twice in the progress. We also saw these.
A giant pumpkin that seemed slightly surprised to see us.
A black cat in it’s native environment.
A single hill that gets slick when it is frozen.
And a place for the cows to slowly xing.
In the end, I decided I did not want to get chased through the countryside by packs of wild dogs so I called off my journey. It’s too bad really. I mean, I was going to make a sweet trek through the country like the guy who wrote the book. Only I was going to ride a bike whereas he walked. And I was going to stay on roads whereas he walked the Appalachian Trail. And I was only going to go about 15 miles whereas he walked about 2000 miles.
But other than that, exact same thing. I probably could have wrote a book about it too.
