I have to make this quick because the DVR is on pause and has been for a while and I think it is nearing it’s pause limit and I don’t want to miss any of Little People, Big World. I mean, come on, they are little people. In a big world. Their size and their world isn’t matching up. If that isn’t interesting then I don’t know what is.
For a long long long long long time I have had to deal with the overpriced quasi-internet, semi-internet at best that comes from outer space via satellite. Well, no more!!! I recently found out that I am in cellular broadband territory. That’s right, I am now land based. Sure it’s not wired internet, but it’s about 50 times better than satellite. I still have to live with the overpriced part, but now it’s almost as if I have real honest to God internet. They even say there is not cap on it. I’m already putting that to the test. Eventually it will have a cap and I will once again be screwed, but for the next two years I shall roam the interwebs at a reasonable latency. HOORAY!!!!
We just had some crazy storms pass through the area. I was looking out the window and I thought for a brief second there was a tornado coming down the road. I also thought for a brief second I might poop my pants, but luckily neither one happened. In the middle of it all, Karen called and told me to be sure to save the cats. I asked, “What about me?” I could not tell for sure, but I think I heard laughter and then a dial tone.
I also had a termite inspection today. Well, our house not me. Anyhoo, looks like we have some in the early stages. They are coming to hose them out or whatever they do next Monday. They told me there would be tools involved and a truck of some sort, so I got that to look forward to.
I finally got to spend a Saturday night sitting in the waiting room of an all night animal hospital. Hooray. It all started when Juan Pablo, the stray cat that comes to our house for dinner most nights, showed up with his abnormally large head, which is both comical and unsettling at the same time, swollen up on the right side from what looked to be bite marks. Juan likes to fight. Alot. He’s got notches missing from his ears and scars all over his head. And now here he was with his huge head having grown even larger. And to top it off, there was a stream of gross looking liquid running out of one of the holes. (more…)
I haven’t been writing much here lately because I have been hard at work learning PHP and creating a brand new football board section for this site. I don’t know how I found the room in my brain for more crap, but I did. Of course, now I can’t remember the names or birthdays of most of the people I know, but at least I can still remember to put pants on each day. In fact, right now I have on a pair of cargo pants. They are void of cargo at the moment, but later I plan to haul around a few thumb drives and a tube of chapstick. I might throw in a roll of scotch tape also.
